The winner’s choice - FN01R-C

Southern California NASA Honda Challenge H4 class champion, Edik Stephanyan and his team, EDO Motorsports, have recently changed the wheels for their Integra to 5ZIGEN FN01R-C 16x7.0 +33 4-100.
Following is the race report from EDO Motorsports.

Edo Motorsports took its 1992 Acura Integra LS to Buttonwillow Race Park on October 13th and 14th to prepare for the 2008 season of Honda Challenge. The car was entered in the H2 class with the National Auto Sport Association(NASA). The Edo Motorsports Acura Integra, piloted by Edik Stepanyan, qualified on pole in H4 and 5th overall in Honda Challenge. Edik drove to victory in the race beating Ryan Flaherty in H2 and finished 4th overall in Honda Challenge. Edik also set a new track record with a 2:04.1 during the race.

Edik had another perfect day on Sunday, qualifying first and finishing first in class for the race.

The car still has room for improvement to go several seconds faster. With the change from the 225/45/15 to the 245/45/16 tires with the 5Zigen wheels, the tire/wheel combo increased in diameter and therefore lengthened the gears. A new final drive is needed for the transmission to make the gearing optimal. The engine also needs refreshing as it has been in the car for more than 1.5 years.

The weekend went very well as we picked up 2 wins while testing the car. The next and final event for the 2007 season will be at Buttonwillow Race Park on November 10 and 11.
