5ZIGEN TSX is go!

Team 5ZIGEN retuns to Super Lap Battle final round at Buttonwillow Raceway, November 12, 2008.

Team 5ZIGEN Formula Nippon car #6 pilot, Katsuyuki Hiranaka, will drive the 5ZIGEN TSX.
It is his first time driving at Buttonwillow which is famous for giving hard time to Japanese drivers by the unique course layout and loose surface.
However, his support team has 3-time experience at Buttonwillow.
And, the car has the highest spec among past 5ZIGEN time attack cars.
We are expecting Hiranaka will conquer Buttonwillow and pull the performance of TSX with his various racing experience in Europe and Japan.

The 5ZIGEN TSX was former Team 5ZIGEN enduro race car in Japan for 2003 - 2004 season.
Team brought this car for 2006 Super Street Time Attack with minor modification - taking out air jack and replacing fuel tank to smaller size - for short distance competition.
The result was 2nd place in Unlimited FF class. The driver was Ryo Michigami.

Team 5ZIGEN brought FD2 Civic Type-R for 2007 Super Lap Battle.
Ryo Michigami piloted and got 2nd place of Unlimited FF (best Unlimited FF N/A).

The TSX came back with big modification for Time Attack in Long Beach GP.
Engine was replaced to 2.4L from 2.0L. Tread was widen to get higher cornering speed.
Lighten the weight about 23 lbs - taking out headlights, replacing glasses to Lexan, both front and rear fenders are made with dry carbon, etc.
At Long Beach time attack, the car was driven by Hiroki Yoshimoto and won Unlimited FF class.

We are looking forward to have good competition with US tuners and expecting another voctory in the Unlimited FF class.
