Small is Big! Part-2

GOZIGEN-USA2009-02-20

A cloudy cold day in Osaka, editors of a popular performance auto magazine “Rev Speed” visited 5ZIGEN International to take pictures for their wheel matching catalogue.
They brought brand new Mazda Demio Sport (AKA Mazda 2, but this rival of Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris is not available in the USA….) This vehicle has been driven to many wheel manufactures all over Japan and been taken pictures for wheel comparison.

Naoto Takahata, the man who has two hats, installs the wheels on the car. He works as PR staff in the off race season, but he is actually one of race mechanics of Team 5ZIGEN. So, tire changes in the photoshoot are very quick always.

From 5ZIGEN, following two models entered the article.
ProRacer FN01R-C Hot Version 17x7.0J +42 4-100 Face Polish ↓

← ProRacer ZR+520 17x7.0J +42 4-100 Chrome Silver

Both of them give us good impression.
Demio changes its impression with ZR+520 - more stylish + luxury.

ZR+520 Chrome Silver on Demio. It looks even 18x7.5 fits on this car.

FN01R-C makes the car with more sporty impression. It looks sharp with Face Polish that spokes look thinner because the spoke side is painted in black.

Compact Sports Compact(?), "Hot Hatch" cars are really popular in Japan for long time as modification base, since Mazda 323 in the 80'. It looks the 2nd wave of Sports Mini is reaching to the USA across the Pacific. (As you know, the first wave came with Civic 15 years ago) Spo-Com fans know it's not only because of the ECO (ecology & economy) reason; also it's fun to eat muscle cars!
