Team 5ZIGEN will race in Malaysia

5ZIGEN International, Inc. proudly announced that Team 5ZIGEN is participating in 12-hour enduro race in Malaysia called MMER with FD2 Civic.
The annual Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race (MMER), organized and promoted by Sepang International Circuit (SIC) as part of Malaysia’s National Day celebrations, is back to heat up the race tracks on 6th to 8th Aug 2009.

We got some pictures of the 5ZIGEN Civic for MMER from Japan. The FD2 was almost finished all modification to be enduro race car. The staff from sticker company placed small lines and sponsor logos.

With 5ZIGEN NSX came back from Suzuka - race mechanics had very busy spring to build both NSX and Civic same time.

After completed putting stickers, the 5ZIGEN Civic was loaded to the transporter and left the factory to Okayama TI Circuit for shakedown test. The main stickers are reflectable because we have night section of MME race.

The shakedown test driver was... our CEO, Mr. Kinoshita!!
By the way, seven magazines came to report our shakedown test. Is it Kinoshita affect?
Team 5ZIGEN brought 4 cars to Okayama, race cars, Civic and NSX, for testing and new Insight and new Prius for photoshoot for advertisements. Staff from marketing division polished up the cars during race staff preparing the race cars.

The Civic and the NSX kept lapping the Okayama and completed the test menus. Civic had some minor problems, but basically everything was OK. Mr. Kinoshita behind the wheel of Civic - this picture was taken by one of professional photographer.
He drove Insight, too. It looks he slightly counter steered the Insight!? 5ZIGEN Japan has already been working on the hybrids. Mufflers, lowering springs will be released soon. Wheel division has already decided to add ZR+520 Insight sizes, 17x7.0 +52 4-100 and 18x7.5 +52 4-100. For Prius, 17x7.0 +47 5-100, which is Subaru size, can be used.
