Race mechanics working at 5ZIGEN are always busy. They stay late every night to prep the NSX for next 400km race in Okayama this weekend. They got busier day today. 5ZIGEN Civic Type-R came back to our Osaka factory from Malaysia.
The car, spare parts and tools were loaded in the container after finishing MME. The Civic came back with unbelievably clean condition as the race car that raced 12-hour enduro. There were some engine troubles (see this blog 8/11), but there was no body damage - no course out, no contact with other cars in the 12 hours. It looks the car kept almost same cleanness when we shipped, only differences we saw were some extra stickers of local sponsors in Malaysia.

The car was washed and rinsed the salt away right after unloading container, since the car was on Pacific Ocean almost two weeks. Tools and parts boxes were packed and shrink wrapped very well. It should be no damage by sea salt. The mechanics checke and store them in warehouse.

The tail tip of ProRacer ZZ on the FD2 was well burnt into bronze after racing the enduro. It tells us how hard the long distance race was.
5ZIGEN Japan has no plan to race with the Civic at this moment. The car will be displayed at local events in Osaka area. 5ZIGEN Civic is hoping see race fans in Japan!!
