Team 5ZIGEN leads the series

Team 5ZIGEN finished Super Taikyu Round 6 Okayama with 4th in ST3 class, overall 12th.
Unfortunately, we could not get another victory, however Team 5ZIGEN is leading the series as a result of getting the precious 10 points with the 4th finish.

Saturday 9/5 practice day - the mechanics mark the pit stop position

NSX is pushed to the scrutineering. Engineers and Mechanics look discussing something seriously. "Hey guys, what do you wanna eat for dinner?" “Ramen!!” “Korean BBQ!!” “Sushi!!”

Driver change at the pit - drivers give feed-back to engineer and changing set-up of the car for qualify.

The result of the free practice finished with 6th in the class. So, slow.... Why??? All team members, including drivers, engineers and mechanics had a meeting and discussed the way to shave more time.

Sunday 9/6 Qualify - re-adjusting arraignment before the qualify session

Here we go! Katsu Hiranaka goes out for time attack. In this round, not only 5ZIGEN, all ST3 top rankers having hard time to set the car up for Okayama. On the other hand, teams racing only Okayama round enjoyed the sessions and recorded super laps. Katsu is shaving the time gap to the faster cars gradually.


Hiroki Yoshimoto prepares for his session. Team 5ZIGEN finished the qualify session with 4th in the class. The starting grids are determined by the total time of fastest times from two drivers. 4th is not bad position to aim podium finish.
