5ZIGEN Factory 2003 Winter

GOZIGEN-USA2009-01-13

This time of the “GO-ZIGEN time machine” is the second part of my trip to Japan in 2003. I like to take you the 5ZIGEN factory in Osaka after the Tokyo Auto Salon, 2003.
Let's see what was look like 5 years ago.
By the way, today's picture has no relation with the content of today's blog, again....

The view of the factory front - the saign says [applied for ISO9001] - 5ZIGEN has obtained ISO9001 standard since March 2003.
The unique point of 5ZIGEN factory is the production factory and the racing factory are under one roof. This is the one of the secrets our product development is quicker against other exhaust manufactures. In 5ZIGEN, race engineers and mechanics work together with production team for development and testing. And sometime, they even help loading merchandises to containers for us!!

Two DC5s displayed at Tokyo Auto Salon had already been disassembling...
The mechanics were taking out proto-type parts for the show and putting the car back to race spec.
Yellow one competed in Integra one-make race and white one was built for Super Taikyu (endurance race).

This is the F-Nippon car under overhauling after the testing.

The exhaust system of F-Nippon Mugen FM308 engine, of cause, made by 5ZIGEN
Because F-Nippon was spec series at the time, 5ZIGEN supplied the exhaust systems to all teams.
