Rockstar Drift Team finished 6th in DMCC

I am sorry for Fred, Rockstar Drift Team and their fans, but I am sorry for late posting of this race report.

September 19th, 2010 – Weather: 22C perfect blue sky

2010年9月19日 天候：気温22℃、完璧なる青空

Down to Mosport Speedway, Bowmansville (Toronto) ON, 2010 DMCC last event turns to be the most technical course of the season. Judges pick the best part of the racing track with a crazy blind entry and downhill corners. Lots of drivers had a hard time figuring the layout and couple of them where not able to qualify.
やってきました、カナダはオンタリオ州トロント郊外ボーマンズヴィルにあるモスポート・スピードウェイ。 DMCC（ドリフト・マニア・カナダ・チャンピオンシップ）東地区最終戦はシーズン中最もテクニカルなこのコースで争われました。　ジャッジの皆さんは最終戦にこのブライドからダウンヒル・コーナーに突っ込む一番大変なレイアウトを最終戦に選んだようです。　多くのドライバーがライン取りに苦しみ、何人かはあえなく予選落ちに…。

Rockstar Energy Drift Team starts the day with lots of solid runs setting the pace with the fastest practice entry speed of 108 km/h. In qualification, Fred gives two decent runs but some minor mistakes put us in 8th place in the bracket.
ロックスター・エナジー・ドリフト・チームは堅実は走りを重ね、練習走行中のエントリースピード最速、108km/hを記録。　予選でのフレッドは2本を手堅い走りでまとめたものの、小さいミスもいくつかあり、８位で通過。

Top 16 matches us with J-F Chisson with is SR20det powered S13.4. Fred’s leading first run gives J-F a really clean run to match up. J-F did great but miscalculates the last corner and spun. On the chasing lap, J-F went to fast in the 1st corner and Fred took advantage of him being out of line and passes him inside. Judges says that Fred set the pace for all other tandem runs by quick response on the opponent mistake and making a clean pass. Fred moves on the Top Eight.
トップ16の追走ではSR20DET搭載S13.4（S14顔のS13ですね）のJ-F チッソンと対決。　フレッド先行の1本目では、J-Fのキレイな追走を許すも、J-F最終コーナーで計算ミスか、痛恨のスピン。　後追い2本目では、J-Fが1コーナーへオーバースピード気味に侵入、アウトに膨らんだところをキレイにインサイドからパス。　他の追走時にも、相手のミスに即座に反応しキレイに追い抜くフレッドにジャッジも絶賛。　これでトップ8へ進出。

Top 8 matches us with the 2010 season Winner Matt Waldin who qualified in 1st place. Matt leading first, Fred knew that he has to tailgate him from the starting to the finish line. And that what he did, giving the crowds a perfect chasing run. On the leading run, Fred and Matt were all together for the entire run but Fred put 2 tires off the pavement on the outside clip. That gives us a major point deduction. Matt moves on to top 4.
トップ8対決は2010年のウィナー、今回予選1位通過のマット・ウォルディン。 マットの先行ラン、フレッドはマットにスタートからゴールまでびったり付いていかないと勝ちはない。　そして、フレッドは大観衆を前にそのとおりのパーフェクト・チェイスをやってのける!　そしてフレッド先行2本目、フレッドもマットも片時も離れないままのバトルを展開。　しかし、フレッドのタイヤ2本が外側のクリッピングからはみ出してしまう。　これが減点となり、マットがトップ4、準決勝へ。

This 7th place finish gives to Rockstar Energy Drift Team a nice push up on the overall standing and put us in 6th place to the 2010 DMCC Championship.
ロックスター・チームは今回の7位フィニッシュで、2010DMCCポイント・スタンディング6位に上昇。

We are happy with the final result considering the fact that this season we are break-in a new Nissan S13 chassis.
