5ZIGEN Supra @ Gymkhana Grid

The First Gymkhana Grid Ken Block Invitational was held Saturday December 4 at Toyota Speedway, Irwindale, CA. A lot of motorsports fans gathered to see "what is the Gymkhana." The Ken Block version of Gymkhana is show-up version of autocross with many drifting and e-brake turns. It is not same as Gymkhana in Japan... I don't explain about this much, but you can check what US gymkhana look like from websites and YouTube.
「ジムカーナってなんだ？」という多くのモータースポーツ・ファンを集め、第1回ジムカーナ・グリッドが12月4日（土）、Toyota Speedway（カリフォルニア州アーウィンデール）が開催されました。　ケン・ブロック版のジムカーナはドリフト、サイド・ターンを多様し、ショーアップされたオートクロスという感じの競技。　日本のジムカーナとは同じではないです。　その辺はウェブサイトやYouTubeでチェックして頂けると思うので、ここでは詳しく説明しませんが…。

5ZIGEN USA participated as a vendor in Mass Appeal Show in the Gymkhana Grid. We brought 5ZIGEN Supra GT500 which raced in JGTC from 95 to 98 race season. The show is presented by one of the most popular web car magazine, Motor Mavens. http://www.motormavens.com/

The day before the show, December 3, Emergency Hookers came to pick up the Supra. They are famous towing company who tow only lowered cars and very popular among race car owners and show car owners in Los Angeles area. ショー前日、12月3日、エマジェンシー・フッカーのクリスがスープラを引き取りに来てくれました。　ロスではレースカー、ショーカー御用達のトーイング会社で、ローダウンしたクルマしか運搬しないことで有名。　彼ら無しではスープラを持って行くことは出来なかったですね。

Unloading the Supra to the display ramp directly at Irwindale Speedway. This way is much easier than unloading to the ground because the car small ground clearance, even we had to give extra attention matching the width and the angle of the ramps to the Supra.
アーウィンデールでスープラをディスプレー・ランプに直接降ろしていきます。　ランプの幅と角度をスープラに合わせるのに気を使いますが、この方法のほうが、地上高の超少ないこのクルマの場合は簡単なんですね〜。

EZ-Up was set and display products were placed in the morning of December 4. Our booth was completed.
12月4日の朝、テントを建てて、展示商品を並べて、ブース完成。

Motor Mavens show-cased variety of show cars - truckin', old-school, drifters, hella-flush, exotics, etc.
Motor Mavensはバラエティに富んだショーカーを集めてました、トラッキン、旧車、ドリ車、ヘラフラッシュ（フェンダー・ツライチ）、エキゾティックなどなど。

World Racing brought Chris Rado's Scion tC drag racer and FWD time attacker. Both give us look with big impact.
ワールド・レーシングはクリス・レイドのサイオンtC、ドラッグレーサーとFFタイムアタッカーを展示。　どちらもすごいインパクト…。

Tweeks Racing brought IS350, AE86 N2 racer and Lotus Elise time attacker. All cars they brought are niiiiice!
トゥウィークス・レーシングはIS350, N2スタイルのAE86、そしてタイムアタック用ロータス・エリーゼを持ってきていました。 どのクルマもナ〜〜〜イス!!

5ZIGEN user Zenkai Motorsports and Thomas Smith in Gymkhana field.
We hope many people were inspired by gymkhana attackers and starting motorsports themselves, not only watching.

このジムカーナをを見て、刺激を受けて、もっともっと多くの人がモータースポーツを始めてくれるといいんですけどね〜。

夜の5ZIGENスープラ。　メインイベントのジムカーナの決勝のスタートが夜7時。　でも長いと感じない1日でした。　見るものもたくさんあったし、一日中、たくさんの人と話ができたからかもしれませんね。　今週末はチャリティ・カーショー、AutoConにブースを出します!!
